A fun educational game that encourages healthy eating
Chips or fruit? Fish or chocolate? We all know that given a choice, kids would usually opt for the junk food rather than the healthy choices but this fun game from Orchard Toys helps children learn the difference between healthy food and the not-so-healthy.
And the burping gorilla shows what happens if you devour too much junk!
The aim of the game is to collect the ingredients to create a healthy and delicious meal by choosing from the face-down cards and attempting to match the pictures to those on your game board.
However, amongst the tasty and nutritious choices there lurks a number of junk food items such as pizza, burgers and ice-cream.
If a player gets one of these foods, they can feed it to the gorilla and hear him burp.
Whilst children naturally find the burping sound effects hilarious, the game encourages them to put their hands to their mouths and say ‘excuse me’ to promote good manners.
The gorilla is supplied with 3 x AAA batteries, and the game pieces are made from sturdy, wipe-clean recycled board.
The game is ideal for children aged 4 to 8 and is suitable for 2 to 4 players.
